Rental Rates
Every rate below is wet — fuel, oil and GPS database updates are already in the hourly price, so the number you see is the number you pay for the airplane. Current as of September 2026.
$195 / hour
Glass-panel Cessna 172 — digital flight displays
$180 / hour
Round-gauge Cessna 172 — traditional analog instruments
Instruction is billed on top of the aircraft: $75 an hour with a two-hour minimum per session, or $90 an hour for instrument and commercial training.
Block Time
$1,900 buys 11 hours — ten plus a bonus hour — which works out to about $173 an hour on the glass-panel aircraft. Fly a round-gauge airplane on block time and every hour returns a $10 credit, stretching the same block further still.
Larger 25- and 50-hour blocks bring the effective rate down below $150 an hour on the round-gauge aircraft. Ask us for the current block sheet.
How block time and wet vs dry rates workChecking Out in Our Aircraft
Renting starts with a checkout flight alongside one of our instructors, so you are comfortable in the airplane and we know your flying. Already current in a 172? The checkout is usually short. Call (940) 905-3090 and we will set it up.
